While the snow has stopped, roadways and walkways remain icy and slippery, with occasional flurries and spotty freezing drizzle reported.
New York City subways are running throughout the storm and will continue to do so, MTA chairman and CEO Janno Lieber said Sunday.
Transit systems in the northeast continue to alter operations as a result of the severe storm that reached the area on Sunday, with large-scale suspensions on some systems and lesser impacts elsewhere.
Officials in several cities, including Boston, New York and Philadelphia, advised residents to avoid traveling if possible through the weekend.
